What is Sparks Fly’s style of photography?
We are all experienced in photojournalism, fashion, still life and landscape photography, enabling us to photograph your day in the best way possible.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
Yes. They can be booked individually or added to a package. Price is dependent on if you want traditional engagement portraits or a more artistic and theatrical type shoot.
How far in advance should we contact Sparks Fly about booking a wedding?
The earlier the better! Never hesitate to contact us.
What is your usual turnaround time for wedding images?
We try to have all your images to you within 3-4 weeks. Your online gallery is of course up within 1-2 weeks. And we always email you 5-10 of our favorite images within 3 days of your wedding. We can give you a more specific time once we know the length of coverage you require from us on your wedding day, the longer we shoot, the more images, etc.
Are you open to nontraditional and unique weddings?
Yes! The more unique the better!
Do you shoot destination weddings?
Yes! We love to travel.
How long do formals take?
Formal photos with the wedding party and family are dependent on how big the wedding party is, etc. We work closely with you before the wedding to decide which formal portraits you want. Generally it takes about 15-30 minutes for formals.
Do you take formals of just the bride and groom on the day of the wedding?
Yes! We actually prefer 15-30 minutes alone with the couple to shoot some beautiful fashion photos.
Do you do Trash the Dress photos after the wedding date?
Yes! This can be added to your package at an additional cost. It’s always a fun experience!
How do we book the date for our wedding?
After meeting with a photographer from Sparks Fly in person or via Skype, we require a signed contract and a 50% deposit. The balance is due a week before your wedding.
How can I get in contact with Sparks Fly?
Email is best. If we do not respond immediately, we will get back to you within 48 hours.
How many photographs do you usually take and how many do we receive?
Based on an 8 hour wedding, we generally shoot 2000 images and up. All weddings are different so the amount is dependent on how many guests, length of the day, events, etc. You will receive about 350-1500 of those images.
Do you shoot black and white or color?
We shoot both! Everything is originally shot in color. We convert the images later if we think black and white best fits the photo.
When should we expect to receive our albums?
We require that the client choose the images used in the album. Client must have their edit to us within 2 months of receiving the photos. After that we will work diligently to design the album for you as quickly as possible. It can take anywhere from 3-6 months from start to finish.
